WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo performed with a small handheld tool to produce the appearance of fuller eyebrows or to enhance the natural features of the face. Microblading is a softer, more subtle cosmetic tattoo than some of older methods. Body tattoos use ink, while cosmetic tattoo procedures, such as Microblading, involve pigments. These pigments are designed to gently fade over time. Fading is desired as it allows the artist to make changes to color and shape over the years as client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$500. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at the time of booking and the remaining $400 will be due at the initial appointment. All initial appointments include a free 4-6 week touch-up. 1-2 year touch-ups can cost between $100-$200.
WHAT DO I DO PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT?
All microblading appointments require a consultation (either in person, or virtually) where we will go over health questions and pre/post care instructions.
HOW LONG IS THE APPOINTMENT?
Two to three hours on average. The touch-up appointment(s) can take one to two hours.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?
The treatment is considered semi-permanent and will fade over time. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-2 years in order to maintain shape, color, and detail. How often depends on a number of factors including:
- Skin type (oily skin fades faster)
- Pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster)
- Sun exposure (over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment)
- Use of daily anti-aging products (these products increase your cell turnover rate and will shorten the life of your cosmetic tattoo)
DOES IT HURT?
I do all that I can to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it’s relatively pain free for most.
CAN I GET MICROBLADING IF I AM PREGNANT?
As a precaution to avoid any complications, I do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant women.
